Optimact: Who we are?

We see Optimact as a tool to achieve a business goal: achieving results. Without addressing a number of external environmental factors, such as processes and organization, the best tool in the world will not deliver results. Optimact has therefore set up a toolkit that uses the tool as a means to achieve results. 

Function: What we are looking for? 

As a Support Agent you are in contact with the end users or other parties involved who have technical and / or ICT-related matters when using the Optimact web application. 

You are involved in the daily management and maintenance of the IT environment within the organization.  You will take care of backups and storage projects, logging problems and activities in the JIRA system (support and ticketing system), think about possible improvements in the field of customer support and system management and ensure the preparation and compliance of an up-to-date security policy. 

As a Developer you will support the further development of Optimact, mainly in .NET and SQL. You support the maintenance of the existing Optimact application. The wheel has already been invented, but together with our business consultants and developers, you ensure that it rolls and continues its journey to new horizons.  

You have enough analytical insight to help you think about solutions and their implementation. We have an ambitious development plan that will make the most of your knowledge and experience.  

You will report to our Senior Software Developer. 

 

Your Profile: What we expect

We are expecting from you as a Support Agent: 

  • Manage system failures, analyse root causes and resolve issues 
  • Monitor everyday activities of system and provide required support 
  • Execute first line support, answer basic user questions or get support from our consultants to answer more functional questions 
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, chat or email 
  • Redirect problems to correct resource 
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention 
  • Follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues 
  • Create and maintain system documentation (Release notes, support doc in Confluence, Help documents in Optimact) 

 

We are expect from you as a .NET Developer: 

  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET 
  • Enhance existing systems by analysing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement 
  • Create technical specifications and test plans 
  • Prepare and maintain code for various .Net applications and resolve any defects in systems. 
  • Prepare test based applications for various .Net applications. 

 

Your profile: 

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent through experience 
  • You are customer oriented 
  • You have oral and written communication skills 
  • You can work autonomously 
  • You have experience with VB and C # 
  • You have experience with MS SQL Server 
  • You have experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and ASP.NET 
  • You know how to write quality code by means of to test 
  • You have experience with CI 
  • Experience with ERP systems or legacy systems is a plus 
  • You speak Dutch and English, French is a plus 
  • You are flexible, driven and a team player 
  • SCRUM experience is a plus 
  • Experience with JIRA or similar system is a plus
